Monokini

A monokini gives you the coverage of a one-piece with the shape of a bikini. Cut-outs at the waist or side keep the midsection interesting without leaving it exposed, and because the garment is joined it stays where you put it when you actually swim.

These are sewn by hand in Florida, in small runs. Most are made once, in one size, and are not restocked.

Worth knowing. A monokini is the easiest swimsuit to wear under a cover-up or with shorts, because there is no waistband interrupting the line. If you want the cut-out look with more coverage through the back, look at the open-back one-pieces instead.

A monokini is one shape, so the fabric is the whole decision. Any cloth still on the shelf can be cut as custom swimwear.
